Its mission is to build a logistics network that provides efficient and affordable transport to markets across Australia and New Zealand.
It was established in 2000 and has expanded to provide services for a range of companies including the Government, non-government organisations and other business and government agencies.
The company is also responsible for building a new $7.3 million training facility in Wollongong, to assist in the recruitment of staff and to expand its operations to a larger location in the CBD.
“It has become one of the biggest companies in the world.
It has become so successful that we have been able to expand into other locations across Australia,” says Andrew Ritchie, head of operations.
LLano’s operations manager, Rob Jones, says the company’s recent expansion has also had an impact on recruitment and retention.
When the company started in 2000, it was a small logistics company, with just two people working in the building.
In 2017, it expanded to five locations, and in 2018 it had its biggest expansion yet.
Today, the company has more than 30,000 employees and has a total workforce of nearly 100 people.
Mr Jones says the growth has been a great opportunity for the company to become more efficient and to recruit more people.
“The number of people that have moved into the company, it’s been a very big factor in that growth.
We’ve had the opportunity to get more people into the business.”
Mr Ritchie says the logistics company’s growth has also meant it has experienced significant cost savings.
He says the firm has had to invest in new facilities to meet increased demand for its services.
“We’ve got a huge number of things we have to upgrade.
We’re upgrading our infrastructure, we’re upgrading all our equipment.
We have to put more systems in place to make sure that we’re delivering the right services,” he said.
A llano business plan for 2017-2018 A new $5 million facility was built at the Wollooly campus in 2020 and an additional $4 million was invested in the next few years to further the company.
There are also plans to create more locations in Queensland, where Llano currently operates.
Since the beginning of 2018, the logistics firm has increased its workforce from 40 to more than 100.
Its operations manager said the company is now able to recruit the most qualified people to operate its services from the same geographic areas.
“[It] creates a better sense of security, a sense of safety and security in your workplace, which is really valuable,” he says.
One of the challenges for Llamo is its growing international operations.
“Our focus is on the international market and our focus is very much on delivering service to a global market.
So we have a lot of opportunities in all those regions,” Mr Ritchie said.”
I think it’s great for our company to be able to take advantage of these opportunities.”
