Logistics tracking firm predicts growth of more than $2 trillion for logistics growth

Logistics companies are projecting more than 2 trillion in sales for fiscal year 2019, according to the data provider, logistics tracking firm Logistics Insight.

The growth, which is based on expected demand for the U.S. dollar and other factors, comes as the global economy is still recovering from the Great Recession.

Logistics trackers say the growth of the sector will be driven by a shift to electronic tracking systems, which can allow companies to keep tabs on transactions, as well as improved logistics infrastructure.

Logistics Insight says it expects to see growth of up to 2 trillion dollars in 2019.
